Description:
A twining,annual vine with hairy stems and funnel-shaped, purple, pink, blue, or white flowers in clusters of 1-5 rising from leaf axils.
Flowers:
2-3" long; sepals narrow, pointed, hairy; corolla with 5 united petals.
Leaves:
2-5" long, broad, heart-shaped.

Height:
Vine; to 10' long.
Flowering:
July-October.
Habitat:
Cultivated fields, roadsides, and disturbed areas.
Comments:
Originally introduced from tropical America as an ornamental, this plant has escaped from gardens and become naturalized. its broad, heart-shaped leaves are distinctive.
