Flat-topped clusters of small whitish flowers heads atop s gray-green, leafy, usually hairy stem.

Head about 1/4" wide; rays 4-6, surrounding tiny disk flowers.

6" long, very finely dissected, gray-green, fern-like, aromatic when crushed, lanceolate in outline, stalkless; basal leaves longer.

Comments:
|
Yarrow was formerly used medicinally to break a fever by increasing perspiration, to treat hemorrhaging, and as a poultice for rashes. A tea used by Native Americans to cure stomach disorders was made by steeping in leaves.
