Description

11". Medium girth. Dull brown, with pale gray dorsal stripe flanked by 2 rows of dark spots. Black cap on head, with black downward stripe behind eye. Belly pale brown or yellowish. Scales keeled.

Breeding

Bears live young.

Habitat

Woods, fresh and salt marshes,towns and common in rubble of vacant lots.
